Libyan Express has expanded its fleet with the delivery of a Boeing 737-800, identified by serial number 34948, acquired from Buraq Air, another Libya-based airline. The addition of this aircraft marks a strategic move to bolster Libyan Express’ operational capacity and route network.
Vietnam Airlines has announced plans to wet lease three additional A320 aircraft to meet the surge in passenger demand during the 2025 Lunar New Year period, which runs from 13 January to 12 February 2025. This strategic move ensures the airline can maintain seamless operations and provide sufficient capacity for travelers during one of the busiest times of the year.
Kuwait Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo, bearing manufacturer serial number 12345, marking the beginning of a fleet renewal initiative that includes a total of nine A321neo aircraft on order. The delivery is part of the airline’s broader strategy to modernize its narrowbody fleet with fuel-efficient, next-generation aircraft.
HelloJets, a Romanian charter and ACMI operator, has expanded its fleet with the delivery of one Boeing 737-800aircraft, acquired on lease. The aircraft, registered under serial number 33833, is powered by CFM56-7B27 engines and is expected to enhance the airline’s capacity for both charter and contracted wet lease operations across Europe and the Middle East.
RwandAir has secured a wet lease agreement for an Airbus A330-200, serial 493, from GullivAir (Bulgaria) to cover operational needs through April 2025. This temporary lease arrangement comes as RwandAir’s own A330-200s undergo scheduled maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted long-haul services for the airline.
Iraqi Airways has officially retired its only Boeing B777-200LR, serial number 40993, equipped with powerful General Electric GE90-115B engines. The aircraft is currently parked at a storage facility in Marana, Arizona.
