Thai Airways International has reaffirmed its commitment to fleet expansion as a core element of its strategic growth plan, confirming that its order for 45 Boeing 787 aircraft remains active, with deliveries set to begin from mid-2027. In addition to this substantial widebody order, the airline also announced intentions to procure an additional 35 aircraft, contingent on evolving market conditions and demand recovery.
Air Mauritius has strengthened its regional fleet with the arrival of an additional ATR 72-600, leased and named Les Mascareignes, which replaces an older ATR 72-500. The aircraft is certified for Extended Twin Engine Operations Performance Standards (ETOPS) and will depart from Toulouse next week, routing via Luxor, Nairobi, and Nosy Bebefore reaching Mauritius.
Aergo Capital Limited, a Dublin-based aircraft leasing company, has announced the acquisition of an Airbus A320-200 aircraft, bearing manufacturer serial number 5692. The aircraft, managed by SMBC Aviation Capital, is currently on lease to Iberia, Spain’s flagship carrier.
